Hello everyone! If I wasn’t so pressed for time I would have done a blog post for a Korean drama.
Yesterday I attended Red Cross’s flag day but I wasn’t as smooth as I hope it will be. I woke up with mild stomach cramp but I thought I can bear with it till the end of flag day. I really want to go because it will be my last flag day with red cross as my cca. However, I was slightly late and got threatened to write a report of 500 words for being late. So much for attending, I should have just throw an MC in their face.
Went to Nan Chiau High to collect the following items for flag day.
Walk from Nan Chiau all the way to Compass point to take MRT. At first, we thought of going to Nex to do but suddenly remembered Mr Ng said we can be at Punggol Areas. So me, my junior and my friend I call hamster, went to punggol and took LRT to punggol plaza. But because it was already filled with my school’s cadets, we went to the opposite side where there is no body. When people realised that my side have more human flow, some came over and we had fun till one irritating cheapo uncle come. I asked him for donations kindly but he started saying we should not be here asking for donations and we should go away and he want to call the police. All of them left except for me and my junior, because we are paired up. The uncle is so annoying. Seriously, I am at a place that is legal enough to ask for donations (excuse me, I have done it for 4 years already) and he is saying I cannot do it there? I am not inside LRT stations nor in a shopping centre. I am below the LRT stations, at the ground floor you know. He did call the police afterwards, but I guess he get lectured by the police, because no body in uniform came for us after that. He also walked away in shame.

After the cheapo uncle case, I worked non stop till 10am for a little toilet break. By then, I estimate by the weight of my tin, it is already half full. There are many nice people who donated, and there are also awesome people who put in $2 notes and many coins. Thank you so much for those who donated. There are also nice uncles and aunties who says that they have no small change and will come back later to donate. In fact, there are some who really came back to donate. How nice 🙂

This was the place where we were asking for donations. Under the LRT track. I took the photo while resting. Somehow at that time nobody was walking that path.

This was me and my hamster’s donation tin.

I tried signing for my hamster and it turns out horrible. It was supposed to look nice and says ‘Yeeeee’ but it becomes an ugly wave.

My hamster keeping her water bottle. How lame of me.
We worked till 11am, where I suddenly felt immense stomach cramp and could hardly stand up straight. Luckily for my junior who was so helpful, I broke the rule and asked her to hold the tin. She became so hyper because she loved the tin and was complaining to me whole time why secondary 2 cadets can’t hold it. There was this one time it was so painful so I squat on the floor and one uncle walked past and asked if I was okay. How nice of the uncle. At 11:30 I could not take the pain anymore so me, my junior and hamster went back to compass point, where I drank soya bean and felt instantly better. Walked back to nan chaiu high in high spirits and waited for some super slow walkers to come back.

While waiting I took this little photo. heehee 😛
When those people who have short legs finished walking back, we had a terrible group photo under the crazy hot afternoon sun for a long time because they could not find a photographer. Then, we had a hard time queuing up to return the tins. After that, we are dismissed. Hooray!

Walked to compass point with hamster because she wanted to buy KFC for lunch and it was really hot.
With this, I conclude my last flag day as a red cross cadet. This will definitely not be my last flag day of life, because I will volunteer to do flag day again.

On the other hand, my Whatsapp is expiring. Nooooo, which meant I have to reinstall it. Argh.
