3 Feb 2015,
Somebody please tell me why on Earth a Biomedical Science student, aka me, is studying and analysing sleep, sleep waves, sleep cycles and sleep patterns?! 😴 Not like I’m particularly interested in this dumb subject because dude, sleep is sleep. I’m wasting sleep time to study about sleep. Wow, how interesting.😑
But anyway, after researching so much I think I found out a lot of interesting things about sleep. And I finally understand why I get even more tired after a freaking nap. 💤
I realised that the best nap is between 10 to 30 minutes⏰, and you MUST wake up during the 2nd stage of the sleep cycle. If you wake up during the first stage, you’ll feel as though you did not sleep at all, which is pretty pointless and you wasted that few minutes of your life lying on the bed, for nothing!😒And if you wake up during the 3rd stage of the sleep cycle you will feel blurry, tired and bleh. Everything you feel when you wake up at 6am in the morning. 😕🕕 Well, the best part is if you wake up during the 4th stage, aka the last stage of sleep, which is pretty impossible unless you have a freaking loud alarm or a stupid brother singing terrible karaoke outside, sleep inertia comes in and you will feel worse than before sleeping.😩😫
The amount of stupid theory up there. 😛
It’s just the hormones.
Stupid hormones.👿
And if you continuously wake up at night, too bad for you. Your sleep cycle keeps getting interrupted, you feel more and more tired, and you get sleepy in the day. HALLEHLUYAH. 😴
I hate studying sleep. Who the hell cares about it anyway.
Oh yes, for my notes:
Alpha –> Theta –> Delta
Bleh I’m bored of this stupid shit. Why am I learning this dumb shit.
I want to study bacteria and viruses…
Oh well.
