This Thai food restaurant that we visited for lunch on our last day at Edinburgh was awesome. I haven’t had a good tom yum since coming to UK and Caravan satisfied my appetite.
I got myself the Tom Yum Goong (£5.80, with noodles +£1). I knew I wanted Tom Yum the moment I saw it on the menu. Tom Yum is my favourite Thai Food ever, and Dundee doesn’t sell decent Tom Yum anywhere. Plus, it is affordable!
Their Tom Yum comes with 3 option, Tom Yum Goong (prawns), Tom Yum Gai (chicken) and Tom Yum Pak (vegetarian). Of course, I will get the one with prawns, because it is so hard to find good seafood in Dundee.
Their Tom Yum Goong has a good balance of spicy and sour. The serving portion is good too. They gave a decent number of prawns, and two pieces of really huge mushrooms.

This shop is worth a try when you’re in Edinburgh! It is close to many tourist attractions too, and about 5 minutes walk away from the National Museum of Scotland.
It can get crowded during lunch time. We went around 12PM and managed to get a seat. However, after a few minutes, the long tables for groups are all filled. They have 2 long tables that you may have to share with other groups of diners.
