The Tolbooth Museum in Aberdeen shows the local history and their development of crimes and punishment. I don’t recall much of this museum because I was spooked out. It gives off a very very creepy vibe that I ran out of the museum (and will not return because I am a scardy cat).
The lady at the reception is really friendly though.
The Tolbooth is one of Aberdeen’s oldest buildings, a type which is central to the history and deveopment of Scotland’s Royal Burghs. The earliest parts of it date from the beginning of the 17th century, and there has been a Tolbooth near this site since the late 14th century. The Tolbooth was a place where tolls and taxes were collected, and within which the burgh council held their meetings. Aberdeen City Council still meets in the Town House, next to the museum, so it can be said that the Tolbooth has been the seat of local government for 600 years.

The creepy part of the museum is the very top floor. There is a very human-like statue thing that crept the shit out of me. It looks so much like an alive human but it was just sitting there. It felt as though if I walk a step towards it, it will just jump and scream. In addition, it was a small room, dimly lit, with nobody else there and the exit is the creepy tiny stairs. It was difficult running down the tiny stairs.
Anyway, after I saw the creepy statue thing I bolted out of the museum. I won’t go back anymore, even if people accompany me.
