So I was studying on skin commensal bacteria and this thought came to me.
We live on Earth, which is our planet. Out in the universe, there are probably many other planets with life forms.
Commensal bacteria live on our body. To them, our body is their planet. There are billions of other humans with commensal bacteria too. To bacteria, that is the universe.
Their universe has another definition of the universe. Perhaps, maybe, there is another bigger classification of the universe.
What if we are like bacteria, and Earth is just one of the many ‘human’ of another universe?
Thinking of it, we are really insignificant in this probably huge universe that we will never see. We are no much different from bacteria actually. We lived, we die. I don’t know how many bacteria lived and died on me, just like how Earth will never know how many of us lived and died. We can choose to live peacefully, or fight for territories and cause damage to our living environment. Just like how bacteria that are supposed to be commensal can cause opportunistic infections, humans who are supposed to live peacefully on Earth are causing damage to the planet which results in global warming.
We thought we are special, but we are just one of the many.
