Very eventful morning. Woke up very early with a message that my boxes are not collected yet. Thankfully Parker House is very understanding and my boxes are still safe. (Thumbs up)
Reached airport at almost 6am. When you exit, it is at the station (aka not any of the terminals). You have to walk to the terminals with terminal 1 being the closest. Tried finding Starbucks and KFC and couldn’t find it. I walked so far and in the opposite direction of terminal 2 but can’t eat what I wanted. Settled with Greggs steak bake (again).
SB and KFC are only after you check in if you are wondering.
Went to terminal 2 after breakfast. A very long walk I must mention. But because counter haven’t open, I just sat on one of the rare seats and used my laptop.
Stayed there till 9:20AM-ish. The guy seating near me while I’m using my laptop was taking the same flight LOL actually what am I expecting when I see Asians here. Anyway, I just followed behind him and checked in. Apparently, my very heavy luggage is only 16kg (felt like 30kg to me though). Also, I am supposed to print the boarding pass but I didn’t so counter guy printed it for me. (Thank you)
Went through a very very thorough security check before making it in. You have to cross a duty-free shop to reach the gates LOL. I made it in really early so I just chilled at cafe Nero because there are plenty of charging ports.

So yea, we’re on the plane. The colour is horrid (dark green in the colour of veggie) but the seat is big enough for me with plenty of legroom.
The plane looks really new.
Just went through the movie selection and saw a few good ones. Black Panther is available but should I watch it? Many people were talking about it but honestly, I am not really interested.

Ok we are gonna take off soon. Heol.
1:34 p.m.
Finally got to watch downsize. I didn’t even know it was released. So far it is awesome.
2:24 p.m.
Awesome lunch. Loved the rice and the meat! Probably the best thing I ate for weeks. To think that airplane food tastes better than my cooking. 😅
There is even a dark chocolate 🍫
But the food portion is just so small. Why would the caterers think that we will eat so little? Geez, even an underweight girl thinks that it is too little.
It is really good though.
3:08 p.m.
Chilling with Wanna one’s songs.
8:42 p.m.
Just woke up with aches all over my body. Called for noodles and sprite. They gave me chicken noodles which is good but too little as usual. Lesser than the small shin cup noodles. QW don’t get full with small servings!!
10:29 p.m.
Just chilling on the plane watching Wanna one go: Zero base.
Lots of good shows but the ones I chose to watch are really unique I guess.
- Lion King
- Downsize
- Wanna one go: zero base
- Some parts of infinite challenge before I fell asleep
- 2 episodes of Phineas and Ferb
- MAMA award intro
- Baymax
- Some parts of Frozen
10:31 p.m.
It might not look very appetising, but IT IS REALLY GOOD! The fried noodles and the sauce goes really well together.
11:23 p.m.
Preparing for landing. This 好命的 bear got her own seat because no one booked the middle seat. The flight today had quite a bit of turbulence that scared the shit out of me. Food was awesome. The seat isn’t the most comfortable thing for an 11-hour flight. I only napped for 3 hour-ish and woke up aching everywhere. Plenty of snacks are available, most people had a cup of noodles as a snack (the cabin smell like chicken noodle soup). Air steward/stewardess aren’t as friendly and smiley as those from SQ but are nice enough and isn’t rude so no complaints. 😀
I would totally not mind taking Cathay for long flights again. Actually, I am, when I have to return to Dundee. But taking a long flight ALONE is really boring. There is no one to talk to or play games with. Also, turbulence is scary but no one is nearby to give me comfort.
So this is the story of my first flight alone. Also, no matter how many times I take the plane, it is still scary to me. Haiz…
