Went for the last minute Sentosa trip with my siblings and cousins. Mainly because Bryan has free PLAY tickets.
Was so last minute that we didn’t even have time to agree on the time to meet there. It rained in the morning too which makes me worried if we can even go or not. Luckily the rain stopped, and we are able to go.
Daddy wanted to cycle in the morning, so I decided to go with him. Bad idea. It rained when we were 5 minutes away from the coffee shop. We seek shelter at Oasis Terrace, which is probably a new building because I had never seen it before. Probably opened while I was in Dundee. We thought the rain would stop after a while but it didn’t, so we went to Mac Donald to have breakfast.
I was really excited for the Red Rice Porridge. I saw NOC promote it while I was in Dundee and really wanted to try it. Took the opportunity to try it. Tasted like salty coriander soup. Very gross, totally would not recommend. Thankfully the rain stopped after breakfast, but we had to rush back because Daddy has a medical appointment and I am going to Sentosa.
Met my cousins at Vivo, but I decided to take the monorail in with my sister while the boys walked in. Started our fun with 4 rides of luge! $25 per person if you buy the tickets online. It even comes with a free ticket to AJ Hackett. The luge ride was crazy! We raced each other down and at the end, it was just noisy. On our last ride, there was a tour group on their first ride down I supposed. Because they are very slow. We just went down at full speed in between them. I guess they got scared of us. Someone even shouted for us to slow down. If you want slow, don’t play luge. One xiao mei mei abruptly stopped right in front of me and I nearly crash into her. Thank goodness I braked in time else she would probably catapult to the front. Also, to mention, they had new routes since the last time I went (which is a long time).
Went for Starbucks after 4 rounds of luge. Starbucks is just nice next to the luge entrance. Took a long time to make payment though because the cashier is slow and confused. Used my stars and Bryan’s stars to get 3 free drinks and paid for the rest myself.
After that, we just went for the 4D extreme log ride, and we made a lot of noises. It’s quite lame actually, just a 10 minutes ride where you watch a 3D movie and it comes with ‘air’ effects. My cousins gave me extra effects because they are sitting behind me. Very noisy very annoying. HAHAHA.
After the log ride, we walked up the hill for the mega jump. Mega jump is part of the mega adventure attraction. Because we used the PLAY pass, we can only choose either mega jump or mega bounce. The bounce one is at the beach and we’re lazy to walk there so we all agreed to jump off 15m height.
Had to do indemnity forms for ourselves and for those under 16s. Then, they helped us with the harness and off we go. Bryan and I stayed below to take video of everyone jumping off. We went up after they’re done. The queue isn’t long. Most people are going for the flying fox anyway.
The jump was really scary though. The person said, “You’ll jump after I count to 3” but when she counted to 3 I was like “no wait”. Jumped off the second time she counted to 3 though. My legs went numb.
Very fun experience, but once in a lifetime is enough. Is this how jumping off a building feels like? Because it is fucking scary.
We couldn’t find a fun thing on the pass anymore so we just went for another round of 4D ride. This time, we went for Desperados, which I think all of us went before. Had been there since my Secondary School days if I remember correctly. Very stupid, it’s just sitting on a horse thing and shooting at the screen. At least I am not the worse shooter HAHAHA. I think I was #5.
We still had the free ticket to AJ Hackett so we went there. It was a 17-storey thing. The ticket was for us to go up and view Sentosa from a birds eye’s view I guess? There was a bungee jump, but it wasn’t included in our ticket. We managed to watch someone jump off though, and we waited damn long for him to jump off. Probably because they are having the safety briefing. It was drizzling but we still waited for him to jump. Tsk. ZL and Ben climbed the stairs up though, which I think is stupid and tiring. 17 freaking floors!
Took photos and we left for Vivocity, because I had to go Giant to buy stuff for the steamboat at my university friend’s house. Was damn tired after everything, but I still went for the steamboat uh, because backing out last minute is rude. Ended up staying until like 2am? Had to grab home because it was damn late. Kind of miss the Dundee days when we can just walk home no matter how late because we all stay within walking distance from each other.
