I was going to organise the photos from Artbox event but I chanced upon the folder of photos for the St John trip last year before I went to Dundee. Really good memories.

I didn’t know why I didn’t write anything about it because it was one of the craziest trips I ever took. Last minute trip with lots of nonsense in between. It was so last minute that Pearlyn went down to the office to make payment for holiday bungalow one week before we left, which is also the last day we were allowed to book. All bookings have to be made one week in advance.
Ferry tickets are $18 for round trip. 30 minutes ferry ride. The ferry was okay but still gave me seasickness. The two of them were playing the PS vita while I was dying.

We (Amy, Pear and I) rented the holiday bungalow for about $53 for 4 days 3 nights if I remember correctly. It was really cheap but I cannot remember exactly how much because Pear was the one who paid for it. The bungalow was decent, not the best but good enough. Only the 3 of us went but the bungalow can sleep up to 10. There are bunk beds, single beds and double beds. By right there should be 3 bedrooms but when we went, 1 of it was under repair so they moved the beds to the 2 remaining room. Doesn’t bother us anyway, because we squeezed into one bedroom.
The island is going through some clean up now though. I saw the news on social media. Found traces of asbestos or something. Thank god we went last year else we might not have the chance to in the foreseeable future.

We had a NTUC trip right before we took the ferry over to the island and we spent like $90+ on food and stuffs we will need for our 4d3n trip. I mean for 3 person it isn’t very expensive. We even had a BBQ for our very first meal there so it was totally worth it.

The food were really good. We even took plastic cups from Starbucks HAHAHA.

At night it will feel as though the whole island is yours. There are people staying on the island of course but all the tourists will leave by 2pm because that was the last ferry leaving the island everyday. There are lots of insects though (lizards, mosquito etc). And cats. There are cats everywhere on the island. The cats are harmless but we are always so scared of them.

There isn’t really much to do on the beaches. It just feels like those campsites you go for your secondary 3 camps. Just that those campsite doesn’t have a beach.

We walked to Lazarus island and visited the marine place. But most of the time, we just stayed in the house because there is air-con. Watched a lot of movies and had a ‘horrible’ singing session in the room. Pear fell asleep while we were laughing like mad woman during movie marathon.

Visited Kusu island right before we went back to the main island. It is included in the ferry ticket. The stopover is about 30 minutes.
Also, throwback to the time I had shit hair because there wasn’t time to go rebonding even though I know the hair became crap.
