In a blink of an eye, it’s the last day of internship le. The 3 months here really flew by real quick. I had a lot of fun and learnt a lot here. Extremely grateful for the chance to learn more about working in a research lab.
Went to buy the farewell gifts early in the morning. One for the lab, one for my supervisor and one for the two lab seniors that always take care of me and teach me. Spent quite a bit of money, but it is worth it to express my gratitude.
Didn’t really do much in the morning, mostly packing my stuff and discarding reagents that nobody wants. Went for lunch with some of the lab people. We went to a restaurant called Potato Head. I had their flaming bowl, which isn’t something I would like to eat again. I mean, that restaurant isn’t a place my friends or I will go… The food isn’t really my thing. It decided to rain when we’re eating. Luckily it wasn’t heavy rain, and we were able to return without getting drenched.
Had to do my clearance which is so annoying. It is way more troublesome than orientation. Plus, my last day is also ‘Eat with your family’ day so many people left office early. Initially, I estimated to finish clearance by 4pm but I only complete it at 4:45pm. Haiz…
After work, I headed to Compass One to close my bank account. The ticket lady told me I might have to wait quite long because there are 18 people in front of me, but most of the 18 people are no shows so it was my turn really quickly.
Thank god Compass One have Koi because my free drinks expire that day. 2 free M size drinks on my birthday month. Woots~! I haven’t used the card at all since last year. Koi is really fast now. The self-ordering machine is really easy to use too.
It had been a long day. Have to return to Dundee soon. University life, here I come!
