By the time we arrived at the black sand beach, the weather was extremely horrid. It was raining quite heavily (it seldom rain that heavily in Dundee). It felt really uncomfortable wearing the Parka afterward.
The Reynisfjara black sand beach is a famous beach (although I got to admit I’ve never heard of it until the day I visited it). It’s a pity that we went on a rainy day because the black sand is like black mud and it’s hard to walk around.
The tour guide said that it is a dangerous place and we should never have our back facing the waves. It seems pretty calm to me compared to how the tour guide had described it, although there are a lot of tourists that are making a mountain out of a molehill. They’re screaming whenever a wave is approaching.
Could hardly take any photos because of the horrible weather.
Our shoes were dirtied with mud by the time we leave the beach.
Went to see the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall after the beach. It was still raining when we arrived. Plus, it was about 4pm so it was dark. I didn’t know I adjusted the settings on my camera the last time I used it (probably during the art box event) so all the photos came out bad. I only found out my mistake the next day 😭
The trip back to Reykjavík was long and uncomfortable (because of the wet parka) but damn I am just happy to be back for dinner!
