Started our day 3 tour even before the sun rises. It was still dark when we reach Thingvellir National Park. Day 3 was good because the weather is nice. Unlike day 2, where it rained the whole day.
Thingvellir National Park is our first stop for the Golden Circle tour.
From what I’d read online, the Thingvellir National Park has historical significance. Not that I’ll understand why. The Thingvellir National Park was named a national park even before Iceland gained independence. It’s now a world heritage site.
I’ll put the rest of the photos in a gallery at the end of this post.
The place is beautiful even during winter, but the ice on the ground makes walking difficult. Can be slippery at times.
The tour guide stopped at some horse place for us to take photos with the horses! Adorbs! 🤗
The horses are very friendly and photogenic. There’s also a box with horse food that you can buy at a cheap price to feed them. I guess the owner trust tourists a lot because they just left a money box there and you just put the money in if you want to buy.
