Alright here goes. I was waiting for campus rider to head to Fullerton to do my Hep B immunity blood test and I saw on the tracking website that there are two buses coming. The first bus was really full so I decided to skip it since the next one is already turning in. But, the second bus driver uncle just ignored me and drove away even though the bus wasn’t even full. 😕
Then I reached Fullerton. The dude from yesterday that said he would come to the entrance and pull me in so that I can skip the queue wasn’t there. So bobian I join the queue lo. Turns out it’s the wrong queue. Like umm is it really that hard to put a sign to say which queue is what… Yesterday that queue was for non-admission and today that queue became the line for admission checkup. Ugh🙄
Ok fine, then they moved me to the normal, shorter queue but by then the staff already let so many students in so I got to wait. Which is fine by me. When I finally got to the queue for registration and was my turn, the staff brought a *insert really really mean words* late student and jumped my queue. Even though I had been queueing for more than half an hour by then. Fuck la if she late then ask her to queue like a late loser ah. 😓 Not even a 帅哥 sia just some… *insert really mean adjectives*
Ok fine, after getting my queue number, 45 minutes had passed since I reached the clinic. Totes fine. All just to do a hep B immunity test. Back then when I did during poly for internship, I was in and out of the polyclinic in less than half an hour. Ugh😑
Waited a damn long time for my number to be called. And my number wasn’t even big. The first number was 1000 for today and I’m 1002. 1001 got called the moment I sat down so I thought I would get to see the doc soon. Oh boy was I wrong.🙁
When I was finally called, I was supposed to go to room 5. Turns out room 5 is at the back of the clinic, unlike 1-4 which was in running sequence at the side. Jesus I had a good walk. And when I finally found the room, the doc was chatting with another person and totes ignored my existence for a while haiz. 😒
Alright, so now we’re in the doc’s office. Told him what I needed (Hep B immunity test) and bro the doc seem to have memory issue. He kept asking if I’m vaccinated against Hep B (and I kept saying yes, in 2002) and if I took the blood test before (which I kept saying yes I took before but I didn’t keep the record). Lord. Then he was asking when did I take my tetanus vaccine and I was like tetanus? He looked at me and asked “you don’t know what tetanus is?”. OI hello, don’t insult my intelligence like this. Obviously jiejie here knows what tetanus is. So I said yea I know what tetanus is but what does it have to do with hep B? I’m only here to check my Hep B and don’t need tetanus immunity since I’m not working with animals. Dude then looked at my form again and be like oh yea don’t need. Wow whew. Ok. So after a realllllyyyyyy long time he finally ordered a hep b immunity lab test which was exactly what I asked for the moment I sat down in the room. Dear lord please help me. 😭
Now we’re done with the doc. Went to make payment and it’s like the most smooth sailing shit this morning except for the fact that the clerk seemed to be confused about how much to charge me and now I’m worried I overpaid but there’s no way to find out. 🙃
Phlebotomy time. Went to the phlebotomist to get my blood drawn and I can be on my way yea? Wow that woman kept complaining about my veins (eh hello I have good veins ok). And she kept fishing and it hurt so bad. She gave up and made the other dude do it. After fishing a little more which comes with lots and lots of pain, he finally filled like 25% of the plain tube with blood. 😓 And they didn’t release the tourniquet before withdrawing the needle.
This is the first time I had cold hand after a venepuncture. That’s how bad it is. Also the first time it still hurt after them removing the needle. My god. Instead of fishing around, can’t they just remove and try another hand or vein. Ugh. 😣
They better have enough blood or I will rage oh😠
So here’s the end of my trip to Fullerton just to do Hep B immunity blood test. Took me a total of two hours to finally step out of the damn clinic. Just to do blood test. Bloody inefficient. 😪
Decided I should reward myself with a mac breakie after the horrible experience but guess what. The self ordering machine ran out of paper and didn’t give me a receipt so I had no idea what my order number was. And there was lots of people waiting so I needed the number. Fine. I went to the cashier to ask but nobody. Nobody in the outlet full of staffs bothered to entertain me despite me standing there for some time. And when finally a lady come and ask, she was so rude and sounded annoyed and didn’t understand what I said I ordered. But well still managed to get my order number in the end. 😔
And all these was before 11am.
May the day gets better…
