1. The basics
This is my personal blog. I want to explore the mystery of life. To find joy and happiness are what I seek.
🙋🏻 PreAlthea: ‘Pre-’ means the before of an event. ‘Althea’ came from the Greek verb which means ‘to heal’. Together, it stands for my journey before I can become a healer with the power of science 🙂

🏫 University of Dundee, Biomedical Science (Class of 2019)
👩🏻🎓 Singapore Polytechnic Biomedical Sciences (Medical Technology) (Class of 2017)
I blog a little about everything – which will include my travels, life in general and university. I started blogging ever since I was introduced to blogger during an IT class during primary school days. And before that, I kept a paper diary. This is my way of remembering what happened over the years, because I have really bad memory.
2. Travels
I’ve travelled to many different places since I was young. I’m considered blessed because my parents bring me overseas frequently.
Now that I’m 21, I want to explore the world even more. As a student studying overseas, it would be the best time to explore the United Kingdom!
I will blog about special places that I will be visiting, and fun places to go that doesn’t cost much. Most trips would be day trip because I am on a tight budget (poor student here T_T).
Currently, my favourite country would be Taiwan. I love the food and the weather! It’s cheap to shop there too.
3. University
Doing a graduate course at NTU focusing on cancer biology
I’m currently studying at the University of Dundee, doing the 4 years Biomedical Science programme. But I’m not really doing the full 4 years, I’m a direct year 3 entrant. Which means I will only have to study for 2 years in University to graduate thanks to my Diploma in Biomedical Sciences.
I love science, especially the field of oncology. I find the unknown fascinating. My dream is to one day contribute to the knowledge in the field of oncology which will hopefully reduce the amount of suffering in cancer patients.
4. Old Posts
I decided to export all of my old blogs entries and import them here. Started this in April 2018 and I expect to finish all the importing and organising by June 2018. It will include my LiveJournal from primary school, many Blogspot from secondary school till poly, and Dayre that I used from Poly Yr3 till University. I know I left out some blogs but I could not access those since I lost the email associated with it. Which is super sad TBH.
Some posts are protected because of my immaturity back then. Most are just rants so I password protected it. I have no intention of giving out the password, and don’t even try because you won’t guess it. I won’t delete those posts though, since they are still part and parcel of my life and signifies my growth.
I had categorized my posts accordingly. You can read my primary school blog posts, secondary school blog posts, poly (yr1 till early yr3) blog posts and Dayre posts by clicking on the link. You can also view it by using the toolbar above and navigate to Lifestyle > Others.
Just a warning, the older you go, the more cancerous my English becomes.
Also, if you are featured (not many people are) and you want it privatized, please tell me. I will be reading through every post to make sure it is good to be public but I might miss out some. If you caught a post that is scolding someone obviously, please tell me too.
5. Stories and Squeaks
I added Stories and Squeaks to this blog on June 20, 2022 because I desperately needed to play with some codes to destress and procrastinate. Stories came with the theme and Squeaks are just aside post format modifications that I made so that it looks like status update style without clogging the homepage. It’s just for my daily, non-important stuff that I want to share but don’t really feel like putting up on social media. Basically Stories are for me to share pics and Squeaks are for me to share short texts. You can easily view the latest few Stories at the bottom of the page and the latest few Squeaks at the sliding side bar. The older posts will be archived and you can find them via the top menu.
